We, Lotta and Lars
live in a small farm outside Bräcke in Jämtland.
We got our first Samoyed (Lexie) summer 2010. In the autumn, Little Sweet Leika came and a year later our first male (Hero) moved to us.
The interest in driving a dog started to wake up and it did not take long until the so-called "Polarhund's disease" got us in control. This meant that the flock grew for each year, and thoughts on own breeding started to take shape so 2014 we became approved kennel, and in June 2017 we got our first own litter.
Today, 14 samoyeds lives on the farm. They usually spend the days in dog farms / farmhouses and sleep in stables at night. Of course, they may also be with us sometimes, but not all at once.
Why did it just become Samoyed for us?
We stuck to the breed because it is happy, beautiful, fresh and versatile.
It fits as well as family dogs, to sleddogs as in the show ring.
The best thing about samoyed for us is its willingness to work.
We activate our dogs in several ways. We have an exercise yard where the dogs get
run free. Walks with and without back packs in different environments.
Strength / balance training, tracking, exhibition and some courses.
The main and perhaps fun activity, we still think is to drive with the dogs. We do this by bike, kickbike, 3-4 wheeled carriages, skis and sleighs. Some competitions will be. Good to have goals in their training. It is important to remember!
SOCIETY TRIPLY AND MONTHLY BECAUSE IT GIVES BOTH PHYSICAL AND MENTAL STIMULANCE.
The idea we have with our breeding is to preserve Samoyeds use and mentality, which gives healthy, happy and nice puppies.
